We teach evidence-based Pilates with a client-centered focus

KLP Origin

Katie Lowe, PhD, established the studio in 2022 to offer evidence-based Pilates programming.  Combining 18 years of Pilates teaching with an academic research background in psychology and human development, Katie delivers Pilates programming that is grounded in scholarly sources AND meets individuals' goals.

 

Katie's team of expert teachers are trained to apply the same lens to their private and group class clientele, ensuring a consistent experience across KLP.  

KLP Difference

  • KLP removes the "black box" of Pilates programming - We provide you with scholarly rationale for what you are doing and why it helps.

  • KLP listens to and prioritizes YOUR goals - We empower you through Pilates and this, in turn, helps you live better in your body outside the studio​​.

Your First Steps @ Katie Lowe PIlates

Step 1

90-minute
Introductory Session

Start with a 1:1 movement and postural evaluation.

 

Using an evidence-based assessment tool, we examine your strength, mobility, and movement patterns to understand exactly what your body needs.  We also listen to YOUR wellness goals to ensure we design a holistic, personalized Pilates program.

Follow-Up Private Sessions

Build strength and confidence with 1:1 coaching.

​

Three follow-up privates allow guided exposure to exercises that constitute your Pilates program.  This way, you will feel more confident in your Pilates practice and directly address your body's imbalances to build strength and mobility effectively.

Step 2

Small Group Equipment Classes

Continue your progress in a small, supportive environment.

 

Once you complete your intro package, you gain access to our small group equipment classes (maximum of 4 clients).

These classes maintain high-quality instruction while allowing you to progress alongside others in a fun, collaborative environment.​
